The 2024 Domenica Chardonnay was picked, in late February, across the course of a week.

Harvest conditions were warm and dry, with the fruit in excellent condition. Overall, the crop was smaller than usual, with a spring frost causing heavy losses in some sections of the vineyard.

The juice fermented in a mixture of 600 litre demi-muids and 228 litre barriques. As usual, the new oak component is around 20%.

2024 has produced a wine of startling purity -  a true representation of site. Stone fruit, white flowers and ginger aromatics lead to a mineral driven entry. The light toast, larger format oak brings depth and texture in the mid-palate, allowing the fruit to expand and carry through the full length of the wine.

The wine embodies the hallmark precision of Domenica Estate vineyard.
